MFTSCRAP3 - LO2

As a comment to my post of MFT project life - 'boy did I not know what I was doing:)
Turns out project life, as I have learned recently, is not a MFT challenge - but a certain style of scrapbooking. Also one meant to be quick and with out the fussing of cutting, gluing and distressing. So I guess I just broke about every rule of the book:p
Well, well, I'm happy with my page. But lets turn leaf - here is the another scrapbook LO.

I used several MFT die-namics on this LO.
Double scallop boarder, decorative doily combo with the circle from first place award ribbon, the large leafy flourish and the fancy flourish. In the top right corner where something round should be placed I used Tim Holtz alteration die tiny tabs and I coloured a fleur de lie charm with espresso alcohol ink, stuck a brad through and tied some twine around.

One of the pieces in the background is dry embossed with Tim Holtz texture fade bricks and distressed with vintage photo. The double scalloped boarder is layered on satin ribbon in Champagne and to cover the edge in between I also layered a green satin ribbon on top.

The letters are die cuts from Tim Holtz word play - great for scrapbooking!

TGF - Mommy to be...

For this FFF @ TGF we're honoring the former DT by CASEing their work during the season past. I choose Jess card for DTT with Halloween themed colours. I loved this look and you don't need too many products, which for me means quick and fast:) This is my favorite version of a CAS card.

I like Jess color-combo and I think her way is applicable all year around, but I still wanted to make it look mine, so I swapped the beanie (I had another beanie at hands, but I wanted to swap more...) and I choose another colour palette. I love creme, beige and browns so I used the Teresa Collins' Vintage finds. I was tempted to try buttons, since I'm not very good to use them in my projects. But it would be more me to use flowers...

Happy new year 2013!!!

Happy new year!!!

Wow, a brand new year, a new beginning and a new chapter to start. Lots of possibilities!
New promises, this year I will not buy so many dies or copics or stamps:) I will reinvent uses for what I already have, I will be creative with little - well, after last years shopping together it may not be so little anymore:)

I will only buy what I need...!
...But I need so much:)

Anyway, I start 2013 with bringing you this Tilda dancing in the new year!

The card is 4x4 in size and I made the background myself by stamping on white cardstock and distressing it with vintage photo to blend with the rest. Dancing queen Tilda is coloured with copic pens, but her dress is paper pieced with Prima Almanac. Her shoes are glittered with ultrafine art glitter in pink champagne and she has ivory flat backs in her hair.

To embellish the card I hot glued some Melissa Frances box pleated trim in cream and 2rows of brown bling mesh. I stamped a calender on white cardstock in adirondack hazelnut and distressed it in vintage photo. I put a foam dot from Jodi on the back and stuck it to a small die cut of MFT's decorative doily duo. The die cut is sprayed with Lindy's stamp gang dark chocolate truffle and very shimmery. I also used LGS on the flowers and leaves in dark chocolate truffle and a bit o'bubbly.

The cherry on top is the mixed sizes of flat backs where the stamp left bubbles.
