MB's Treasurista Pin Inspired Creative Contest

Hi peeps!

So glad you could join me for my first apperance at MB's Treasurista.

Today we have a contest, which means that there's no random drawing for the winner, but an acutal voting system - most likes wins:) So there's great honor in this month's challenge! Besides honor, let's be honest, the prize is a packed set of Secret Garden collection by Graphic 45 -now that's goodies:)

Our contest is to make a project inspired by this photo.

To get you started, I made a card. I was drawn to the wonderful colours of light teal, precious pink and the softness of the photo. I also noticed the script, numbers and ledgers in the elements.

The background of the card is designer paper from Prima script and ledger pad. You can find all other products in Misty's store.

Since there was plenty of lace and satin on the photo I thought it be perfect to use the vintage drip lacethe ruffled satin n' lilly lace and the white ruffled eyelet lace. I coloured the eyelet lace with LSG fuzzy navel peach, but the magic happend when I removed the upper net that keeps the lace ruffled and "unruffled" it. It made an amazing background to the satin lace in ivory. On top of the satin I hot glued flat back trim in mint and light pink.

Misty sent me cherry blossoms in a 2-tone champagne and pink colour. They were gorgeous! The only thing I did was to bling them up a bit with Tim Holtz perfect pearls in biscotti. To give the green leaf the same subtle feeling as the rest of the card I gessoed the leaf and then put biscotti perfect pearl on it as well. But I contrasted it with 10mm flat back pearls in vibrant water blue, pink and champagne. I aslo out a cascade of round pearl sprays in ivory and light pink.

I also put a glassine bag to work as a pocket with a tag in. On top of it I just put a tiny cameo in peach pink with a hibiscus on. Also available in turqouise.
