Hi everyone!

I'm participating in Jennifer McGuire's challenge to share handmade kindness and this week it's for family and friends. Read more about her challenge HERE.

I made a handmade card for my husband or rather from our son to his father.

I my real challenge however was to make a masculine looking card - LOL!

The paper is from an old Bo Bunny collection, Welcome home. I also have a couple of strips of Prima Engraver paper.

The cog wheels are chipboard that I sprayed with LSG dark chocolate truffle and Van Dyke Sephia. I also added a bit of Tattered Angels Plain Jane in Brown and Slate Glimmer mist. But it really gives a metallic look.

The sentiment is from from an old MFT stamp set sentimental about fathers.

I'm here with a card I entering in MFT Sketch Challenge MFTWSC215.

I changed the sketch abit and as you can see I used another die-namic as my main element. It's a set of three of an older MFT set, I believe it is retired now.



I used a ribbon as the vertical element and I filled the white space with another cluster. I used a die cut from a poppy stamp and some open roses and rosebuds. The "Hello" is a Greeting Farm die and I used the xyron sticker maker to adhere it to the oval diecut.

Birthday card with MFT

Hi everyone!

I'm here with a birthday card and I've used MFT's sketch challenge MFTWSC210 as my inspiration.

As you can see, I've put the sketch on the side. So the horisontal element on the sketch is my vertical notebook edge. Instead of a circle element I've used the dogtag die and put a little potty man on it.

The harderst challenge was to make a masculine card that did not resembled the card I made for Father's day.

Super easy Christmas card

Hi everyone!

I'm here with a super easy project for The Rubber Buggy.
These Christmas cards are perfect to mass produce if you're shorthanded on time.

I die cut MFT snowflakes to work as masks, it even worked out as well that I could reuse them a couple of times so I did not have to die cut new shapes for each card - time saving :)

I then sprayed them in a couple of different colors with shimmer sprays (I used LSG starburst sprays, but there are plenty of beautiful colors in the store), embossed a greeting (I used gold tinsel and silver), wrapped some twine and voila!

I then added the card to a sturdy background paper as the watercolor paper tend to curl. Bazzil cardstock is perfect for this, really heavy weight.

Father's day card (My Favorite Things)

Hi everyone!

So father's day coming up in Sweden and if you follow me you know I have a special reason to celebrate this year :)

I had a blast making this card and it came together a lot faster then I thought, which was a pleasent surprise as my time has been some what limited nowadays. I have to admit that I splurge on the huge retirement sale that's going on at the moment and fedex international priority shipping made it in 2days - which made it just in time.

I've followed the sketch from MFT's sketch challenge - MFTSWC201
On the inside of the card I just stamped the sentiments from the clear stamp set. The potty stamp is from the Enjoy the journet stamp set.

Entries for Lawnscaping challenge's DT call

Hi everyone!

Taking a chance here and throwing my name in the hat of Lawnscaping challenge's DT call.

I'm mainly doing it for fun and as I have recently "discovered" the fun with Lawn Fawn and are still waiting to play with the latest release - LOL!
 
This is a card for a close friend, who recently got her storage flodded, due to heavy rain here in Sweden. It was ok, there has been worse flods in the area and there was not to much damage. Plus in the end it's only material stuff - nothing that couldn't be replaced...

I've masked the rain drops (which are stamped with water proof archival ink) and the bottom of the card and sprayed it with LSG, the edge is then hidden behind the twine - am I not clever ;) The rain drops and umbrella is then accented with wink of stella glitter, it came out better then I imagened - doesn't it look wet to you?

The sentiment is from MFT all smiles stamp set, I thought it was very a appropriate due to the circumstances. The border at the bottom of the card is also a stamp from Lawn Fawn's stamp set, which I stamped repeatedly.

Wish-card for The Rubber Buggy

Hi everyone!

Another  Tuesday with a new project for the rubber buggy.

This card was inpsired by MFT's challenges both the layout and the color combination.

I was really struggeling with the color combination. But then it hit me, Graphic 45 could probably sort me out :)

I love how you can mix Graphic 45's collections - would you guess that this card is made with two different collections? Steampunk spells and French country. Now, don't you just love the colours?

It might show better in the inside that I have used the 4x6 cut aparts from the 12x12 paper pad (French country) to use as my background. On the front of the card I have used layers in the same proportions as the cut apart.

I used a lot of my MFT die-namics on this card as well. The sentiment is stamped on a the wider band from the first place award ribbon set, which I popped up with foam dots on a file tab by MFT.  I also added, in order to follow the sketch, a vintage flourish that I cut and tucked in underneath the chipboard banner. Also, I have used the well worn greetings die set on the inside of the card.

Magnolia Christmas card for The Rubber Buggy

Hi everyone!

If you know me by now, you wont be surprised to see that I have played with my Magnolia Christmas stamps already :)
Summer is barely over and I can't wait until Christmas arrive - LOL!

I've been so inspired by all the 3D-box cards, so many of you have shown lately.
Here is a beautiful Magnolia winter wonderland.













There is a lot of paper piecing and 3D-layering going on here. The background is created with die cuts of a Christmas tree, you can find a similar in Magnolia Doohickey Christmas tree. I also have a Mangolia Doohickey tag die cut, which is embossed with bricks. You can find a similar tag here

CAS Christmas card

Hi everyone!

I'm loving Maja design's paper and now Kellie has stocked several of her paper pads:)
Hurray for The Rubber Buggy!!!

But I really want to show the paper, so here's what I came up with. The paper is from Maja Design Vintage winter.

I layered the paper, used dies and dry embossing for depth and texture. I don't know the brand of the stamps, but they come in a sheet pre-mounted. If you know by whom, please let me know - but it's probably a Swedish company. It says Christmas greetings on the front and Merry Christmas inside.

I have used a punch by ek success and MFT's decorative doily on the front and MFT sweet stacks inside. On the front I also have used cuttlebugs rough diamond and used tim holtz technique when he stamps on the folder to get a print on the non raised areas. (If you don't understand what technique I'm talking about, please let me know or if you would like a tutorial) All papers have been distressed with Vintage Photo.

Super easy and super fast to put together.

Maja Design card for The Rubber Buggy

Hi everyone!!!

If you've been visiting The Rubber Buggy lately, you know Kellie has stocked the store with beautiful Maja design papers - yippie!!!
These papers are beyond gorgeous:)

I layered the papers, tucked a snowy roof in between.
I really wanted a ribbon to go across the card, but I didn't have any in the midnight blue that works so well, so I stuck to a paper strip. I covered the snowflake in stickles and stuck a flat back crystal in the middle.

The sentiment of the card is embossed in LSG angel wings gold. It's two-toned embossing powder and so beautiful depending on the reflections from the light. The scene with the trees is made with dies from Memory box from my stash. The layout of the card is based on MFTWSC149.

Prima meets G45 @The Rubber Buggy

It's Tuesday's post for The Rubber Buggy. Have you checked out Kellie's store lately? It is packed with new goodies. For this week I have mixed some G45 cling stamps, French country with some Prima Almanac collection papers.

the butterfly is a punch from Mc Gill with some pink flatback pearls

Magnolia love (DT post for The Rubber Buggy)

Hi all!

It's been a while since I had the chance to play with this awesome and super adorable sweetie, Bubbling Tilda. I had the best time putting this card together and had several inspiration sources, see list below.

I coloured her with my copics (a growing collection) and some other alcohol pens.
Skin: E50, ivory, satin, R01
Dress: C0, C1, C3
Hair: E50, E53, E55, E57
Wings: R000, C0

To create some structure and interesting elements I used glossy accent crackle medium on her wings and some diamond stickles. Spring is trying to come through here in Gothenburg, so I was inspired by the colours and the light - which I hope shows in my card.

The layout of the card is based on MFTWSC119 sketch, although I turned it over.
For a oval die cuts check out the store. Here I used spellbinders label 10, but Kellie stock gorgeous decorative ovals on the website both from Spellbinders as well as MFT. I created a little cluster of flowers and sprays using the Magnolia chandilier garland in green and wild orchid flowers. The colours were just wonderful, so I could not resist adding sprays from MB's tresurista.

To soften the card I layered pearl centered lace from the store on top of grossgrain ribbon. I created a banner using MFT banner dies to hold the sentiment SMILE from TGF's newest release.

I finished the inside as well, I stamped the image again in distress ink tattered rose, to make it seem like a watermark.

Graphic 45 January Challenge

Graphic 45's January challenge is to make a project using the Place in time collection. This was a perfect opportunity for me as I won a 12x12 place in time from G45 last when the collection was released (which was lucky for me, since the collection is very costly in Sweden). I also have a lot of photos to scrap so a layout was a given choice.

As I've mentioned before I'm not aload to show the actual pictures. But I understand that the blurriness messes up the work that is put in the the project. So here I carefully put the embellishments around the photo mat and stamped a piece of card to replace the photo for this post. 

I just had the best time putting this together. The photo has lots of sun flowers in it along with a young boy. So the August mat was just perfect. I ripped the corners since there are only two swirls on each side and I wanted them all to show. So I distressed all the edges with vintage photo and then I glued it on to another 12x12 paper from DCWV tradewinde pad and to "bind" it together I splattered Lindy's stamp gang dark chocolate truffle on top of it. I'm thrilled with the result and very impressed with myself for coming up with the idea - LOL!

I had so much embellishment for this layout thanks to the Place in time collection, lace, chipboard, flowers, bling and more. But then I discovered that you wouldn't see any of the gorgeous background. So I down sized on the embellishment, but I now regret not making another layer underneath the photo mat instead. So typical of me:)

But let me tell you about the embellishments I did add. I thought the puffy daisy from I am roses would make great sunflowers, to get the perfect golden yellow I used several of my LSG's. Golden sleighbell, grab a guy gold and glory of the seas gold turned out to be a huge hit togheter. So super sunny and super shimmery. I added a button with twine. I made a banner with the MFT banner die, but in order to make it bend like I wanted I cut it apart and hot glued it to twine. The stickers are from Jenni Bowlin and spells "sunflower" in Swedish.

I up-cykled a staples packaging, I really like it and added a butterfly on top of it. The butterflies are from Tim Holtz stamp set papillon in espresso that I fuzzy cut. I will do more of these, super easy and cute to have a stash of.  I also put a double scalloped MFT die cut under the side of the photo mat too.  I used a lot ot MFT dies on this layout:) Both the large and the small leafy flourish and the layered label die.

 
On the layered label die I stuck a sticker from the place in time sticker sheet. I also tucked a chipboard piece from the place in time, merely for the colours and a bit boyish embellishment. I also used to stamp with the sunflower from the paper collection. On the opposite side of the photo mat is a chipboard piece from Prima.

I hope you like it, this became one of my best layouts and I could problably have done a lot more, but I'm kind of limited since I need it to stay somewhat flat.

Tilda for the Rubber Buggy

Hi again everyone!

Here's a spring-like card just to remind us all what we're waiting for now that the season of Holiday has past.

I used Dancing queen Tilda I colored her with just normal color pencils that you can by in almost any store. The paper is from Prima songbird sun kiss paperpad 6x6 (the stamps are from prima songbird), I stamped branches with leaves in bundled sage distress ink. Also with prima stamp is the little bewinged bug stamped in adirondack butterscotch. On the left side is a double scalloped boarder from MFT in green and I finished it with I am roses S-10 flowers. The sentiment "fly away" is from Tim Holtz sticker pad chit chat.
To finish the card I glued a butterfly in chipboard from Prima.

MFTSCRAP3 - LO & PL

MFTPL3 Layout

MFT has started with a challenge for us scrapbookers who've neglected our LOs for cardmaking:)
Every month they provide 2 sketches for us to follow.
Here is one of them.

This is the perfect inspiration for me as I have plenty of photos just waiting, as well as several photo albums from a friend that I have promised to turn into scrapbooks.

This LO is for them, which is why I can't share the actual pictures. It's from a summer vacation exploring old Swedish castles from the era of knights and damsels in distress. I have interpreted it somewhat to fit the photos, but I hope you can see that I've been inspired by the sketch.

The base layer is a 12x12 from the Prima script pad and the photos are matted on green cardstock. Up in the right corner I've matted some regular note paper that I have distressed with vintage photo. I have also stamped a paperartsy mini spill in two of the corners. Here can the family scribble some notes themselves. I used distress vintage photo and adirondack espresso to distress the edges and embossed embellishment.

Middle part from left:
The bingo brick is from a stamp by Teresa Collins Vintage finds which I stamped in archival ink coffee and olive. Next I dry embossed a piece of cardstock with Tim Holtz sizzix bricked texture fade. I ran a MFT banner across and added a MFT flourish. To the right of the picture I used another dry embossed piece of cardstock, same as the other. I used the the MFT label stax 1, the MFT vintage flourish and the MFT first place award ribbon.

My main embellishment is the smaller MFT decorative doily from the duo pack with the circle from the first place award ribbon - they fit perfectly! On the circle once again used stamps by Teresa Collins and I glued a button in the middle.
I had so much fun putting this LO together, at first I was worried where to start - but it's so much easier when you have a sketch:)

MFT sketch challenge MFTWSC99

Hi y'all!

Today I needed to take a break from all Christmas card - even though I love it!
Through out the years I have managed to assembly quite a collection. Here I thought I carefully only bought non-seasonal products to be able to use all year around?!

All though there was those cute Penny Black stamps that got me going - I bought 4 sets at once (Jolly Follies, Christmas critters, holly-jolly and the wonder)... And then there was this adorable wooden mounted rubber stamp that was great for embossing a greeting sentiment... And then I just couldn't miss out on this great mixed stamp set with snowflakes and sentiments in Swedish... And I got my favorite Magnolia stamp in my first DT package for the rubber buggy - it was love at first sight. I got hooked on Magnolia stamps there and then - you will see that stamp a lot to come I'm afraid:) Not to mention all the Christmas paper pads I have hoarded - now there's where I draw the line. I do not buy Christmas paper, that is why I buy all the mentioned stamps! But I could not pass up the reduced prize on MME Lost & found Christmas - love the vintage colours! And Maja Design Vintage winter... Still unopened 'til this year... And Teresa Collins Christmas home - but that one I made a mini album with and I have not yet filled it so I need backup paper for journaling and mat photos on... Which is why I have 2 6x6 pads and 2 12x12 sets... Ok, that's might be me over doing it... I also did not mention the Maja Design It's Christmas time that I bought recently which is even more gorgeous then last year - so no I can break the package of the one:) or that I also got Teresa Collins Christmas cottage paper... Not to mention that I forgot about all these papers when I ordered 12x12 sheets from Magnolia to make Christmas cards with... Am I alone in this or are there others just like me out there? Please let me know... or if I should get help - LOL!

Anyhow, back to my non-Christmas card. Nagging in the back of my head is a thought that I have not yet made a card for a couple of friends who recently got a beautiful baby girl. So I grabbed some pink paper and headed to MFT's sketch challenge. I love a good sketch - it makes the card come together so fast when you can just follow someone else sketch and you don't have to figure out the layout first. That's the hard bit for me at least. And I have not participated in a MFT challenge for quite a while now, so it was fun fun fun. They have also started with a LO sketch challenge for scrapbooks as well - that is just Christmas early for me as I have tons of photos to scrap, but since I have started with mini albums (although chunky and heavy), my inspiration for 12x12 LO have seemed a bit dry lately...

So I matted simple pink paper on white cardstock which is 4x6. I also turned the sketch as I had a specific stamp in mind for the image. I think I stuck to the sketch pretty well I used the MFT file tab die-namics and stamped "It's a girl" on with pigment ink in lilac, I also edged all the papers with the same ink. I put lots of flat backs and used some organza ribbon which I layered behind the paper. The image is MFT Baby makes three, which I got as a freebie from last years black Friday sale. It's super great, I have made several baby cards with this set. I coloured it with my copics - really quick and easy. To top it off I coloured some i am roses flowers with LSG salt water taffy magical, made a couple of stick pins and added a twig of Magnolia chandelier garland clear and there you have it!

Still inspired by creamy latte

As this week's challenge at Anyone for Anya is one of my absolute favorites to work with, what to do but to let creativity flow - LOL!

The background for this card was found among my scraps. It has a metallic sheen to it and at a close look some linen texture, think cotton sheets. The colour combo is to die for, but I actually used the other side for Christmas cards (four years ago?! - you can imagine the size of my pile of scraps!), it has a vivid pattern i bronze tone on white.

As the paper itself gives the card some shimmer, I did not find the need of LSG's on the flowers. Thus this card came together pretty fast - armed with a glue gun and an ATG:)
The flowers are from I am roses and kawaii flexible mold roses.

The image is from the greeting farm, as always - love TGF. The majority of my stamps are from TGF, but that's about to change. The TGF-FFF is about lace and I had some scrap pieces from my stash in a brown and a green tone. The sentiment is from complimentary greetings set from MFT and are not our BBF one of the heroes in our lifes? I believe so, I am lucky to have such a person, therefore I will cross my fingers and hope this card qualifies for Simon say stamp vintage challenge about heros. The sentiment is stamped on a die cut set from MFT too. The image and die cut are pop up with foam tape, but I left her little leg out and it does add more dimension and depth to the card.
