Magnolia Christmas

Hi everyone!

So we made it through December and 2014 :)
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas time.

Christmas Tilda with cat is the first stamp I recieved as a DT-member for The Rubber Buggy and I'm still loving it. I colored it monochromatic with the cool gray series from Copic and then continued the frosty look with the icey blue from Magnolia. One of my favorite colors for Christmas actually. I backed it with Graphic 45 paper and really love the tone it set for the card. This is my fav of the year I believe.

I'm really looking forward what 2015 brings. Did you notice Kellie has updated the webshop? Besides bringing the latest of Lawn Fawn, she's also bringing a new brand Wplus9 design studio - super cute and versitile stamps. There are also new poppy stamps dies - a division of Memory box, equally detailed and great quality. But the greatest change may be that she has introduced a reward system where you can earn chips which you can trade for discounts. How great is that? Create an account and become a member now :)

Products used on the card:
Magnolia Rubber stamp Tilda Christmas with cat
Copic markers (CG-series)
12x12 Magnolia paper Snowy wood
6x6 Graphic 45 paper pad solids and patterns, Twelve days of Christmas
WOC pionsettias
Stamping supplies (bonefolder, memento ink, doublesided tape)

Thank you for visiting and happy new year!!!
See you all in 2015 :)

Lawn Fawn Christmas again

Hi everyone!

I'm here with another Christmas card for The Rubber Buggy.

I've made a window card and mixed different stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn that's in the store. My new favorites :)

I've stamped the sentiment on acetate with white staz on, but it didn't come out as opaque as I wished. (I think I didn't do a very good job reinking the inkpad...) But I think it really looks like steam on a window, doesn't it?

The trees are made really quick and easy - I just stamped them in pine needles distress ink and die cut them as they were. The other images are copic colored. Just like my other card from last week HERE, I changed the stamen to a flatback bling instead. It's also colored with a shimmer spray. I used LSG silent night silver, but you can find a ton of colours in the store from Prima Color Bloom. The star night background is Maja Design paper just as it is. Love!

The inside of the card is also made with design paper from Maja Design. The greeting is heat embossed with Ranger white superfine embossing powder, which reads "Merry Christmas and Happy new years".

Products used from the store:
Lawn Fawn Snow days (the trees)
Lawn Fawn Milk & Cookies (the plate of cookies)
Lawn Fawn Love you a latte (the mug & sentiment)
Copic markers
Distress ink pine needles
6x6 Maja Design paper pad Vintage vinter
WOC pionsettias
Stamping supplies (memento ink, doublesided tape, bonefolder)

Thank you for visiting!

Chrismas cards maja design

Hi everyone!

We're halfway through December and Christmas is just around the corner :)
I hope you all have had time to enjoy it, as I know this is the most stressful time of the year for some.

I'm here with 3 quick little cards for The Rubber Buggy.

They are just about odd 4x4 in sizes and I got to use some of the growing pile of scraps from my 6x6 paper pad by Maja Design. The paper pad also has a couple of sheets of cut aparts with tags and sentiments that I've used. I've added eyelets on the tags for a more authentic look (and to use my stash and crop-o-dile). If you've followed me through December, you know that I have a habit of changing the stampen on my pionsettias and this is no exception.

Products used from the store:
6x6 paper pad Maja Design, Vintage winter
Stamping supplies (doublesided tape, bonefolder)
Ranger embossing powder, silver superfine
Bakers twine, red
WOC pionsettias

Lawn Fawn Christmas

Hi everyone!

I hope you all have gotten the fantastic news that The Rubber Buggy is now carrying Lawn Fawn products - yippi!

Here is a white on white Christmas card using both snow days & deck the halls stamp set.

I'm so happy I managed to get this card done in one evening. But let me tell you I was a bit stressed for time, since my sleeping baby could be unsleeping at anytime :)

But it's so easy with these set, so I was just stamping and embossing franticly and was having the best time really. The bunnies are colored with copic markers (C0 & C1, R00 & R10) and I added some wink of stella clear glitter and some stickles to make them sparkle. I've seen lots of people heatemboss on wellum and I had some in my stash. I'm super happy with the result and that's why I went OTT. The base of my card is Bazzill marshmallow cardstock, great and sturdy - I will get some more of these! I've grounded the images on a scalloped circle on top of some ribbon. To make the lace show abit more on top of all the white I've layered it on grossgrain ribbon for some texture. I hope you can see all the details.

Products used from the store:
Lawn Fawn Snow days stamp & die set
Lawn Fawn Deck the Halls stamp set
Copic markers
Grossgrain/satin edge ribbon, white
Lace with satin center, white
Icestickles diamond
Ranger embossingpowder white superfine
Bazzill cardstock Marshmallow
Stamping supplies (Bonefolder, doublesided tape, embossing ink, memento ink)

Time to deck the halls

Hi everyone!

It's finally that time of the year :)
December!!
I love, love, love Christmas if you haven't guessed.

So just a heads up, from now on all my DT-project for The Rubber Buggy will be Christmas cards.

This one is inspired by sketch #336 from Sketch Saturday. I really liked the shape you get when only rounding everyother corner and that really inspired me.

The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Deck The Halls. I changed the stamen of the pionsettia and used some flatback pearls instead. I sprayed it with my LSG Rudolf nose red, but there are plenty of beautiful shimmer sprays in the store as well from Prima Color Bloom. The stamped image is colored with copic markers in cool grays (CG-series), but as I put it on the card with the vibrant G45-green and the Bazzil Peppermint it got kind of lost. So I colored the berries red and added some green to the leaves.

The inside of the card is heat embossed with superfine white embossing powder from Ranger. The stamp is a greeting in Swedish, which I love and have had for several years now.

Products used from the store:
Wee stamps winter fairy
Copic markers
Lawn Fawn Deck the Halls
12x12 Bazzil peppermint cardstock
6x6 paper pad solids and patterns Graphic 45, 12 days by Christmas
WOC poinsettias
Red twine

Super easy Christmas card

Hi everyone!

I'm here with a super easy project for The Rubber Buggy.
These Christmas cards are perfect to mass produce if you're shorthanded on time.

I die cut MFT snowflakes to work as masks, it even worked out as well that I could reuse them a couple of times so I did not have to die cut new shapes for each card - time saving :)

I then sprayed them in a couple of different colors with shimmer sprays (I used LSG starburst sprays, but there are plenty of beautiful colors in the store), embossed a greeting (I used gold tinsel and silver), wrapped some twine and voila!

I then added the card to a sturdy background paper as the watercolor paper tend to curl. Bazzil cardstock is perfect for this, really heavy weight.

I hope you try it out!

Products from the store:
MFT die-namics LET IT SNOWFLAKE
Shimmer spray
Distress watercolor cardstock
Magnolia rubber stamp, A MERRY CHRISTMAS (text)
Embossing powder
Twine
Bazzil cardstock

Thank you for visiting!

Fall colours with summer collections

Hi everyone!

I'm back with another card for The Rubber Buggy and by now the fall is right upon us in Sweden.
As I live by the coast, the weather most of the times can at least be described as windy :)

Although I know Graphic 45 released By the Sea as a summer collection, I couldn't help but be inspired by the windiness and made this card.

I've also experimented with the distress ink as water colours and I had a ton of fun. Even though I would not say that watercolour is my strong side. Simply put, I need more practise - a lot more :)
I also tried some masking technique with a torn post-it, to create to look of land...

I also made embellishment by using stamps from the same set with distress ink on Prima design paper. Really quick and easy, just stamp and fuzzy cut! Ok, depening on your fuzzy cutting abilities... I just assume I'm one of the slower ones, so you should be able to do it faster :)

Products used from the store:
Graphic 45 cling stamp By the Sea #1
6x6 Prima paper pad seashore
12x12 paper Prima seashore, sea memories
Distress ink weathered wood
Distress ink iced spruced
Distress ink crushed olive
Distress ink brushed corduroy
Stamping supplies (bone folder, score tape, scissors, watercolor distress cardstock, archival ink, watercolor brush)

The Rubber Buggy is bringing Lawn Fawn to the table

Hi everyone!

Great news :D
Kellie is bringing in Lawn Fawn to The Rubber Buggy store - YAY!!!

I can't tell you how excited I am!!

So in honor of the new brand I used a stamp & die set from my stash - season's tweetings winter sparrows.
I'm very happy with the way it turned out, mixed with products from the store such as Graphic 45 and Magnolia.

I've sprayed the WOC poinsettia with LSG glory of the sea gold and removed and the green leaves. I also changed the middle part for a flat crystal. Since I was in a hurry (my craft time is somewhat limited nowadays) the die cut leaf is painted with a wink of stella pen (clear), but you can also use the prima shimmer spray or perfect pearl from the store...

Products used on the card:
Lawn fawn seasons' tweetings winter sparrows stamp & die set
Magnolia doohickey tag (similar)
Copic markers
WOC poinsettias
Spellbinder's shapabilities foliage
WRS circle greetings
G45 papers, various collections (Eeirees tale, place in time)
Bakers twine, orange

I hope you liked it.
Don't forget to check out the store for the new Lawn Fawn products.

Thank you for visiting!

Father's day card (My Favorite Things)

Hi everyone!

So father's day coming up in Sweden and if you follow me you know I have a special reason to celebrate this year :)

I had a blast making this card and it came together a lot faster then I thought, which was a pleasent surprise as my time has been some what limited nowadays. I have to admit that I splurge on the huge retirement sale that's going on at the moment and fedex international priority shipping made it in 2days - which made it just in time.

I've followed the sketch from MFT's sketch challenge - MFTSWC201
On the inside of the card I just stamped the sentiments from the clear stamp set. The potty stamp is from the Enjoy the journet stamp set.

Products used on the card:
MFT die-namic speech bubble frame (love this one!!)
MFT die-namic boy meets girl
MFT die-namic paper doll boy boarder
MFT stamp set clearly sentimental about fathers

I hope you like it :)

Brahm's lullaby layout

Hi everyone!

I'm here with another layout for The Rubber Buggy.

I've used G45's collection Baby 2 Bride again together with some elements from other G45's collection such as Le romantique, Little darlings and Once upon a time. You can also hint a thin boarder from the paper I used to mat some of the background pieces. That's also a paper from G45, a curiosity shoppe. So you see how easy it is to combine the different collections no matter what theme.

The layout is a picture of my sleeping baby boy and the title and journaling is the lyric of the Swedish version of Brahm's lullaby. I've focused on embellishing with roses. The large background 12x12 has small roses scattered. I also used Le Romantique stamps of roses as an element across the page. The journaling card from the deluxe collection already has roses, but I've added a fuzzy cut element from Little Darlings to cover the figure in the circle on the journaling card as it didn't fit with my theme. The title is written with stickers from the little darlings collection, but the other smaller stickers "lullaby" & "rock-a-bye" is from Baby 2 Bride.

Entries for Lawnscaping challenge's DT call

Hi everyone!

Taking a chance here and throwing my name in the hat of Lawnscaping challenge's DT call.

I'm mainly doing it for fun and as I have recently "discovered" the fun with Lawn Fawn and are still waiting to play with the latest release - LOL!

This is a card for a close friend, who recently got her storage flodded, due to heavy rain here in Sweden. It was ok, there has been worse flods in the area and there was not to much damage. Plus in the end it's only material stuff - nothing that couldn't be replaced...

I've masked the rain drops (which are stamped with water proof archival ink) and the bottom of the card and sprayed it with LSG, the edge is then hidden behind the twine - am I not clever ;) The rain drops and umbrella is then accented with wink of stella glitter, it came out better then I imagened - doesn't it look wet to you?

The sentiment is from MFT all smiles stamp set, I thought it was very a appropriate due to the circumstances. The border at the bottom of the card is also a stamp from Lawn Fawn's stamp set, which I stamped repeatedly.

The card is based on the sketch from My Favorite Thing - MFTWSC198

Products used on the card:
Lawn Fawn PLUS ONE stamp and die set
Jet black archival ink
Memento tuxedo black dye ink
Copic markers (B91, B93, B95, CG3, CG5, CG7)
Post it (masking)
MFT die-namic decorative doily
MFT STAX pierced circle
MFT All smiles stamp set
LSG whale watch blue starburst spray
Lawn Fawn sky single cord
Clear Wink of stella pen

I also entered an older card of mine. My project for Lawnscaping's one layer challenge, you can find that post HERE. As I only have one stamp set so far, I hope to show my versatility :)

I also entered this card in simon says stamp monday challenge Anything goes

A father's love

Hi everyone!

Another baby layout for The Rubber Buggy.
However,  I'll be reluctant to post picture of my boy on the Internet, I hope you will all understand.

I have mainly used Graphic 45 deluxe collection baby 2 bride, but there are a couple of other collections as well. The background across the layout is from Le romantic and the bird in the lower left corner is fuzzy cut from Little darlings.  The paper and photo are matted with paper from my stash.

Products from the store:
Graphic 45 deluxe collection baby 2 bride (paper, cut a parts and stickers)
Stamping supplies (scissors, double sided tape)

So you see how easy it is to work with a collection pack :)

Christmas with Tim Holtz

Hi everyone!

So Christmas is just around the corner - right?
Well, if you're not believing it now. You're in for a surprise later - LOL!
Times really flies.

But that's just me:)

There I've returned to a beloved technique, using Tim Holtz distress ink. I've started with embossing the background stamp to create a mask which will be really visual to the eye when you distress the card. I've then really blinged it up with the glimmer spray and you have the most gorgeous background paper.

I didn't want to cover it up, since the simplicity of itself is absolutely stunning. So I just wrapped some twine around it. The die cut is an oldie by Tim and the holly leaves are actually from an old punch, but I believe you can use this die from Memory box to achieve the same look.

Products used from the store:
Magnolia background stamp SILENT NIGHT
Distress ink FIRED BRICK
Prima bloom spray GOLD FOIL
Bakers twine RED
Stamping supplies (embossing ink, embossing powder, score tape, distress tool, ultra smooth paper)

Graphic 45 crossover

Hi everyone!

I'm here with a new project for The Rubber Buggy and I have finally managed to make a LO of my newborn precious baby boy.

Kellie has brought in the latest of Graphic 45 and I am waiting for my DT-package to arrive with Graphic 45's Deluxe Collectors Edition Baby 2 Bride. But until then I made this layout with a cross over of several collectins from Graphic 45. I'm hoping to show you how easy it is to mix and match them.

The collections I've mixed are from Once upon a time, Little darlings and Birdsong. The LO is inspired from the sketch challenge at my local scrapbook store. The titel reads "finally!" in Swedish and I've used a lot of metal filigree and prima pearls from my stash.

Products used from the store:
Graphic 45 staples ornate metal keyholes
Vintage photo distress ink
Bazzil cardstock (matting)
Shimmer sprays (blue and brown droplets on the LO)
Stamping supplies (scissors for fuzzy cutting, tape, glue)

I hope I've inspired you to look at your Graphic 45 collections differently.

Baby tags

Hi everyone,

I'm here with a really quick project for The Rubber Buggy.

Mid-september I became a mother to a precious baby boy and since then time has just flown away.
So be on the look out for baby layouts, project life - baby's first year and more baby projects :D

However, today I'd like to show you a 5-minute project, which was litterly all the time I got for this.
Besides baby annuncemen, I've taken a few (hundreds) photos of my new treasure and I'm giving a few of them away to close family. But being me and not having created anything for a period of time I took this opportunity to at least make a couple of tags.

Being a bit ambitious, I soon discovered that someone demanding attention was not planning to give me as much time as needed - even though I thought I was planning it tight :D
Needless to say, my tags became a bit more simple than firstly planned, but in the end I'm very pleased with the result anyway. The paper from G45 makes the tags look anything but boring and the die cut wording makes them pop a bit. I didn't even have time to die cut the reinforcer for the tag. As G45 paper is double sided it would have been super easy to match, just turn the paper over. I was also planning to put some flatback bling on the tags...

I'm mainly bummed about forgetting the twine to string the twine with though... But a glue dot will have to do now.

Products used from the store:
G45 12x12 French country PROVENCE
Magnolia Doohickey cutting dies tag (similar)
Memory box die BABY SCRIPT (similar)
Blue chalk (coming soon)

Items that didn't make it...
Flat back crystals
Crochet lace, light blue
MFT die-namics fancy flourish
WOC 10mm open roses
WOC hip rosebuds

Thank you for visiting!
Hopefully I'll make it in time for my next post - but I feel it would be wise not to make any promises for now =D

Lawnscaping challenge - one layer

Hi everyone!

I'm on a roll now - LOL!!
For my other SSS Stamptember card please scroll down or find it HERE

What can I say, September - STAMPTEMBER, just gets me going :P

I'm here with my latest love affair - Lawn Fawn :D
Yes, yes, yes... I know, you've all already been charmed by them. But again, if you know me... You know I'm the latest... I blaim the limited supply we have in Sweden, haha!

Anyhow, as I recently been smitten with Lawn Fawn, no wonder I also just discovered Lawnscaping challenges too :D

This week was ONE LAYER, not as easy as you may think. But I'm loving it!!

I've used the sentiments in the PLUS ONE set and teamed them with Simon says stamp BABY clear stamp to create a boarder on the card. Super pleased with the result. However, it turned out that the clear stamps were different in hight, so if you were planning to try this technique - do have an extra acrylic block nearby. This will make it easier for you, not needing to replace all the stamps every time. I then just stamped my image, coloured it quickly with (mainly) copic markers and that's it.
Go one layer!

It is only one layer - honestly :)
I would like to say that this was easy...
But it took me four tries, before I got it right...
I will say though, that after I got it right... :)
... it was a no brainer! (Blaiming preggo-brains)

Simon says STAMPTEMBER challenge

Hi everyone!

I'm here with a card for a college of mine, who recently undergone heart surgery. I just wanted a simple one and I thought of these old Teresa Collins' clear stamps, vintage finds, which really goes with anything!

I truely love this set, but I use them far to rarely - and what do you know... They ripped?!?!? Both the story- stamp and the time-stamp which you put in the window of the bingo card :( Crying my eyes out now!! I'm actually considering to rebuy them...

I couldn't resist to put some of my latest buy at I am roses, but pastel combo of the R6-roses. Gorgeous mix of colors! Love every one of them. I also added the cherry blossom and the tiny rosebuds from my stash. Of course I also sprayed them with Biscotti pearl mist, before I stucked them down.

This card is entered in SSS wednesday challenge - stamp-it and blog hop
. I was really pleased as I put it together, but I can now see that I could have done with some background stamping as well... A fav of mine is to combine these stamps with the background stamp from Tim Holtz' papillon cling set. I also really need to work on my stash on sentiments... Reason to shop ;)

Magnolia 3D-card

Hi everyone!

I have a new card for you at The Rubber Buggy. If you're a follower you'll notice I'm back with another 3D-box card using Magnolia stamps again. Well, what can I say - they're a hoot to make and they come together super easy and fastare than you might think.

Besides the colouring and fuzzy cutting the images, which you might do even if you're just layering them on a "flat" card. The box itself is nothing.

I decieded that I wanted to make my box 2,5" x 2,5" (don't forget to add some extra for the flap that will overlap as closure) and 3" high.

Therefore I started with a paper sized to 10,5" x 5,5". (4x2,5"+0,5") x (3"+2,5") - does that makes sense? If not let me know and I'll try to explain it better for you. There is also a lot of tutorials on youtube, I've just adjusted the measurements...

Then I scored the paper at 2,5"; 5"; 7,5" and 10" across the longer side.
Left one of those "spaces" untouched (That will be the back of your box, I just find that it made it sturdier. You can score it if you'd like to) and scored the remaining 3 at 2,5" across the shorter side.
I cut the scoremarks on the 2,5" - that will create the flaps of the box.

After that it's pretty much just to assemble the box. To create something to hold your cut images and die cuts to just place a "bar" on the top of the box opening and attach it from inside to inside. How many you want depends on how many layeres you want. Good luck! Let me know if you'd like more help :)

Wish-card for The Rubber Buggy

Hi everyone!

Another  Tuesday with a new project for the rubber buggy.

This card was inpsired by MFT's challenges both the layout and the color combination.

I was really struggeling with the color combination. But then it hit me, Graphic 45 could probably sort me out :)

I love how you can mix Graphic 45's collections - would you guess that this card is made with two different collections? Steampunk spells and French country. Now, don't you just love the colours?

It might show better in the inside that I have used the 4x6 cut aparts from the 12x12 paper pad (French country) to use as my background. On the front of the card I have used layers in the same proportions as the cut apart.

I used a lot of my MFT die-namics on this card as well. The sentiment is stamped on a the wider band from the first place award ribbon set, which I popped up with foam dots on a file tab by MFT.  I also added, in order to follow the sketch, a vintage flourish that I cut and tucked in underneath the chipboard banner. Also, I have used the well worn greetings die set on the inside of the card.

Products used from the store:
