A while back, inspired by RachO113, I bought myself a moleskin journal. It has not been used many times i'm afraid. But I like to have the option, that if I should be in the mood for something other then a card or LO, I can still create in my so called art journal. I've also been thinking about collecting small pearls of wisdom that may not be suitable for a card - but that idea has never gotten further than anything more than an idea.

However, inspired by Anyone for Anya - anything but a card, I now dug through all the dust and cobweb - LOL! No, not that bad. But it was far in among all my stash. It turned out better than I imagined at first, so I'm quite pleased, although it shows that I'm a new beginner to art journaling.

I incorporated several challenges into my page, which was the main purpose, but I was not in the mood for a card. I have also been playing around with some more monochromatic colouring, I need to get more pens though. TGF-FFF was to use bright colours, in my interpretation I make the image pop more among the colours. TGF retro-fresh challenge turned out to still be open, so I used yellow, orange and blue (oops, I just noticed I forgot about the "baby")...

As it was to be a journaling page, I also incorporated a lot of text and script, therefore I can enter it in simon says stamp's read all about it and it's all about stamps. The layout is inspired by TGFSC29.

I started by covering my page in distress stain "dried marigold" and sprayed it with LSG "marigold yellow orange" to get it all shimmery. The stamps in the background are in distress ink "spiced marmalade"  The stamps are from Hero art and whimsy stamps. In the ledger stamp I have also used a  french script stamp in "dried marigold" to make it look like journaling. But I left the space if I want to add a quote later. I have also used parts of an old splatter stamp. The carte postale and the stamp is from TH clear stamps - french market. The tickets and the flourishes are from MFT dienamics. The tickets are stamped in "dried marigold" with stamps from MFT, TH papillon and Unity itty bitty dream big. The flourishes are also stamped in "dried marigold" with the script from TH mini ornates set.

Simon says put a stamp on it and read all about it!

Simon says stamp has two super fun challenges this week. One is to use stamps - what else I ask:) and one is to put some words/text out there. Both challenges also include a bit if blog hoping. How much more inspirational can it be?! So after finishing the challenge blog's blog hop I had inspiration bursting out my fingers, so I decided to make more - LOL!

This was made in minutes, excluding all the fussy cutting. I'm the slowest cutter ever!
The inspiration as probably many of you can see is Teresa Collins vintage finds. When I saw bluemoons scrapbooking showing this collection I new I wanted all of it.

Except from the background, that is TH papillon, the stamps are from Vintage finds set #1 and #2. The ink used is tsukineko memento dye in Toffee crunch - love this colour! Thank you bluemoon:)

As the DT of SSS had used washi tape on most of their cards, I did not want to be left behind and also used some of the tape from TC.I also heat embossed the vintage clocks in copper. The background itself has plenty of different script, as does the damask, but I also stamped words from the set in archival ink coffee. This turned out so well, I had to finish the inside, just to be able to stamp some more:)

Well, have I used all the inspiration yet? Not even close! And it's not even noon - I have a feeling of this is becoming a very creative weekend - LOL!!!

I also has some super exciting news!!

I have been paper crafting all my life, but just recently took the plunge to go public with my work. The reason for that is my discovery of youtube a year ago. I've been so inspired by all you talented people out there and my own paper crafting has evolved tremendously thanks to you all. So I wanted to give some back and started this blog, a facebook and youtube. The response have been overwhelmingly more than I expected! I've entered challenges and truly have had so much fun to play with all of you!

Now last week I won the challenge for Anyone for Anya and this week I was offered a membership in The Rubber Buggy's first ever design team!!! This is so exciting I could just burst in flames here and now!!!

So I hope  all of you who takes the time to visit me also will stop by the rubber buggy. They offer free shipping after spending just $100!!! For all you in the US, this may be expensive. But for us in Sweden... This could easily be spent at home as a G45 12x12 cost a little more than $30. A TH alterations die just about under $30 - you see my point... Thus, the shipping cost still makes it worth shopping online, but the low shipping cost is greatly valued:)

A white tag

I was fortunate enough to win the challenge inspired by time at Anyone for Anya - happy dance!!

This is my first challenge won - so I have no idea what's happening now, do I get a blinkie now?

I really don't care, I'm just so happy - LOL!

For this week the challenge was anything but a card - yay, a tag! And TGF-FFF is white out, therefore a white tag!

Now, how to challenge myself...

I have never coloured monochromatic (did I say that right??), so that's a winner...

And I have some metal tags that takes alcohol ink I've been wanting to play with for ages...

Here's the result!

I had so much fun trying to colour in black and white - this is my best effort. I believe I will continue practice - so much fun!!

My metal tag was alcohol inked in pearl. I wanted it white, but as I am on a personal mission to de-stash I forbid myself to hop of to my LSS - it was all to tempting!!! Therefore, I did not get the tag as white as I wished to. In the end, it kind of fit though... It looks whiter in reality than in the picture - oh dear, I hope it still qualify for the white out challenge...

To follow the white theme, I decorated the tag with box pleated trim from Melissa Frances in white. I also added some white prima say it in pearls as well as some small flat backs to her hair. I also made a small spray with white beads to add some dimension. The flower is from prima. I also continued to layer iridescent mini pearl trim on top on the pleated trim. I used this trim on my last card "me time" too.
